Our order: Triple B      + Chilli Cheese Fries (Dirty Basket Deal) £11.95 Dreadlock Rasta      + Portswood Poutine (Dirty Basket Deal) £11.95 Delirium £4.50 Dr. Polska £6 £34.40 10/10 After a (very) quick search on Instagram for somewhere to eat in Reading, we knew we had to come to 7Bone. It was just round the corner from our hotel so it was absolutely perfect for these starving otters. Once we walked through we door, we loved the industrial feel of the place. It almost looked unfinished but it gave really good vibes. The menu left us struggling to make a decision because everything looked amazing so after many mind changes, we finally ordered. I can tell you know, we made great choices. Jed's Triple B burger was delicious. Whilst we both thought the meat was going to come a little bit pinker than it did, it was still nicely cooked. There was still a hint of pink in the patty but either way, it was a really sold burger. The Triple B c...

Our Order Tiger €6.00 1/2 Smoked & Roasted Chicken €13.95 Sweet Potato Fries €3.95 Smoked Beef Brisket Melt – Real Red Cheddar €10.95 Crispy Garlic Potatoes €3.95 Total €30.70 (27.24) 10/10 We've been following Bison on Instagram for a while now and I knew we had to go in at some point. We can confused at the door because we have blonde moments from time to time so just be warned, the door is a pull and its heavy so give it a good pull! We were the only ones in there at the time but we could tell it had a really fun atmosphere. You seat yourself and order at the bar which I find quirky for a BBQ grill type restaurant but it's really nice touch and we like being able to order as soon as we're ready rather than waiting. I had decided earlier in the day I was going to have the 1/2 roasted chicken because they has posted about it earlier in the day but once I saw the menu, I got distracted. Especially by the Buttermilk Chicken Thigh Burger as I looove chicken th...

Our Order 2 x Guinness €6.60 Each Ladder Steak €18.50 Beef & Guinness Pie €14.75 Total €46.45(£41.25) 10/10 We found this place at what was the end of Temple Bar for us. We walked past it a few times before deciding to go in for something to munch down on and it was a great decision. It wasn't too big as upstairs wasn't open so we sat at the bar for our food. Obviously, we had to order a Guinness each and I did ask for some blackcurrant in mine but it was a Guinness none the less. As if the full pint wasn't enough for me, I ordered the Beef & Guinness pie because again, I obviously had to and it would've been rude not to. Another shortcrust pastry that I actually really enjoyed. It wasn't hard and overcooked at all, it was really soft and the flavour of it really complimented the filling. The beef was also paired with onions which were cooked so well that you couldn't tell they were there and they also didn't over power the flavour which I f...

Our Order: Brewdog Punk IPA £4.40 Raspberry Fizz £6.99 8oz Rump £11.95    + Chips    + Spicy Sauce £1.50 8oz Rump £11.95    + Parm Fries    + Peppercorn Sauce £1.50 Total £38.79 9/10 We happened to stumble across this place on our way to a gig in Birmingham and thought we'd give it a go. It has a really chic and modern atmosphere to it and although it was slightly dim, it gave a more relaxed feel whilst you were eating. The menu offers a great choice of different burgers and other plates as well as their steaks but we thought we'd give the steaks a go as we don't do it too often. First of all, my cocktail was delicious. Absolut Raspberri Vodka with fresh raspberries and lemon, topped with lemonade. It was really sweet and you couldn't taste the alcohol in it at all which is exactly what I like. Would definitely recommend. Then the steaks. They came relatively quick which we were happy with and we were overall impressed with everythi...

Our Order Plum & Vanilla Gin £3.60 (+ Lemonade £1.10) £4.70 x 2 The Original £9.75 + Sweet Potato Fries £1.25 The Black Deer £12.50 + Haggis £1 Total £33.90 8.5/10 We popped in here due to being absolutely fucking knackered after days of walking round Edinburgh on minimal sleep. We were looking for a decent burger and that's exactly what we got. Due to being so tired, I wasn't overly hungry so I went for The Original (I also figured, if they couldn't do a simple burger then what could they do, hey?) I went for a side of sweet potato fries to mix it up. Jed went for The Black Deer, a venison & black pudding patty with a beetroot chutney & blue cheese with a side of haggis. The food came relatively quick & we were impressed. My original burger was done well. I did end up adding mustard about half way through cause the flavour got a little bit samey for me but the sweet potato fries were pretty damn good. Looking back, maybe I should've added the ...

#24 The Newsroom, Edinburgh

Our Order Ron Burgundy £8.25 Joker IPA £4.85 Steak & Guinness Pie £13 Haggis, Neeps & Tatties £10 Total £36.10 8.5/10 We walked past The Newsroom on our first day in Edinburgh, coming from our hotel to the Royal Mile. We looked at the menu and thought it looked good but we'd just got there so needed to go and explore first! The next day we were watching something in the VooDoo Rooms and the best option for our time limit was to go to The Newsroom. The vibes were really good in there, high energy & a modern look. It was full every time we walked past so they're clearly doing something right! I went for the Ron Burgundy cocktail, Ron Zacapa 23 Centenario Rum, Cherry Marnier, Mozart Dark, Chocolate Liqueur, Aztec Dark Chocolate Bitters & Maple Syrup. I went for this thinking it would be sweet but also knowing that I was going out on a limb because I like more fruity flavours than sweet. I was right. Whilst I appreciate that this is probably a really good...

Our Order Apple & Raspberry J2o Stella Beef & Ale Pie - 2 for £12 Lasagna - 2 for £12 Chips Total £20.40 (I think) 10/10 Yet another meal where I didn't pick up the receipt so my apologies but I do remember that our meals where on a 2 for £12 offer and I'm certain the total came to £20.40. We go past The Coach And Horses on a daily basis but we've never been in and after our trip to Bali & Manila, we were craving some good old English pub grub (despite the fact Jed went for the lasagna). Thankfully, that's exactly what we got. The Coach And Horses is a snug little pub in Kibworth, Leicester and it's definitely worth visiting as we found out. Good service from the get go and throughout and the food came quickly. I was hesitant when I saw that my pie was a shortcrust pastry as I don't normally like it and I prefer the flaky pastry. But I tucked in I'm so glad I went with it. It was delicious. A thick gravy inside with tender beef and th...
