We happened to stumble across this place on our way to a gig in Birmingham and thought we'd give it a go. It has a really chic and modern atmosphere to it and although it was slightly dim, it gave a more relaxed feel whilst you were eating. The menu offers a great choice of different burgers and other plates as well as their steaks but we thought we'd give the steaks a go as we don't do it too often.
First of all, my cocktail was delicious. Absolut Raspberri Vodka with fresh raspberries and lemon, topped with lemonade. It was really sweet and you couldn't taste the alcohol in it at all which is exactly what I like. Would definitely recommend.
Then the steaks. They came relatively quick which we were happy with and we were overall impressed with everything. We both like medium rare steaks and preferably the bloodier the better and they both came cooked exactly as we like them. We shared the sauces between us and they were great. The black spicy sauce had so much flavour with a proper kick to it and although it was spicy, it tasted so good that it was worth the heat. The peppercorn sauce they also got down to a tea.
I went for the thicker cut fries, which were beef dripping triple cooked chips and they were incredible. Jed had the thinner fries, seasoned with Parmesan and truffle infused oil which were also really good. In the end we were just sharing fries and sauces and it made for a good ol' mix of a meal.
If you're looking for a good steakhouse we would totally recommend this place - they have locations in Birmingham, Nottingham, Kings Cross, London Aldgate & Whiteley
Enjoy!
