(I may or may not have accidentally washed the receipt and have a memory like a sieve so I can't tell you exactly what our bill came too or how much drinks were)
We spent last weekend in Snowdonia and went for a little adventure around Conwy and Llandudno while we were there. Our original plan was to head back to our Glamping site (Surf Snowdonia) to eat but thought that we would try Wildwood as Jed had seen it in Market Harborough a few times. After looking through their website for prices for you guys, I found that there's actually a few of them dotted around the place. Whilst I'm glad we didn't end up eating at our site, we did end up being a little disappointed with our food.
The menu and interior design we're great and everything looked very appealing and the food genuinely wasn't bad but I think we were just expecting more. The service we received was great too. We did encounter a couple of hiccups when ordering drinks but our waiter rectified them the second that we said something.
The pizza comes in three sizes - classic, calzone & giganti. We had decided we were gonna share our food as we couldn't decide what we wanted so I went for the classic pizza and Jed went for the carbonara. The Carne pizza came with salami, pepperoni, chorizo, meatballs, smoked ham, harissa chilli paste & thyme and overall was nice. I appreciated that they had used a regular cheese and I don't like mozzarella when it cools down so that improved my experience.
The pasta came in a regular sized pasta dish and we really liked that it had been baked as we love the texture that the pasta and cheese gets once its been baked.
Over all the food was a little disappointing. We both went for something different because we knew we were going to Hanbao for burgers the next day and seeing as we usually go for something like burgers, we'd have something lighter. Both dishes needed a little bit of salt and pepper but we wouldn't write the place off altogether - we'd probably just go for something that we would normally pick.
Also, if anyone has been and tried the Wild Boar and Chorizo burger can you PLEASE let us know what it was like cause we we're both eyeing it up!
