We've been excited to come here since the day we started this thing and now we've been, we're even more excited to go back. With over 30 burgers on the menu, this is really THE place to be.
We got to Annie's at about 12:15pm and the place was already heaving. The atmosphere of the place was really good - the music was fun and you could just sense that everyone was having a good time. After a while of flicking back and forth through the menu we finally settled on our choices.
First of all, I have to mention how good the Jolly Rancher cocktail was. If you love cherry and/or lime flavours, you have to try this. I have no words. It tasted just like pop so you could easily get through 10 of them.
Let's start with The Johnny Vegas. A patty topped with crispy bacon, warm toffee apple butter, Lancashire black pudding, sweet chilli jam and a homemade mini Guinness™ jelly doughnut on a stick. It was good. Really good. ~Everything just worked so well together. The patty was packed with flavour and with it being so big, you got different elements in each bite which was amazing.
(If you thought that sounded good, just wait til you read about The Buffalo Ranch.)
Fried chicken that KFC can't even touch. It was so good. Juicy chicken, full of flavour and even more flavour in the skin. Smothered in Buffalo sauce and ranch, topped with pickles and red onions. It also came with a side of blue cheese sauce which I swapped out for creamy mayo, sorry not sorry. I couldn't stop eating this, even when I was full.
I could go on forever about how good both of these were. Even the fries kicked ass. If you couldn't tell by the score, this is the best place we have ever ate. The portion sizes, the customer service, the venue, the atmosphere really pulled everything together. We're so excited to go back.
